The groundfrog is native to parts of the southern U.S. (very similar to its cousin the tree frog, except it lives in the ground). Ocala Ollie is the official mascot of Ocala, Florida, and on September 1 of every year, people come from far and wide to watch Ollie stick his head out of his hole. If he sees he shadows and is scared by it, it is said that the rainy season will last another 6 weeks. If he doesn't see his shadow, on the other hand, the rainy season will end soon.
